Integration and system replacement
API Engineering & Legacy Modernization
Designed, versioned and documented APIs, plus staged replacement of legacy systems that cannot be switched off in one go.
Most integration work fails at the seams. We put an explicit contract in front of every system — an OpenAPI specification, versioned endpoints, idempotent writes and a documented error model — then migrate consumers onto it one at a time. Legacy replacement runs through a strangler-fig pattern so the old system keeps serving traffic until the new one has proven itself.
What the service includes
- OpenAPI 3 specification written before implementation
- REST and GraphQL services, webhooks and message queues
- Third-party integrations: ERP, CRM, payment providers, e-invoicing
- Strangler-fig migration so the legacy system is retired in stages
- Data migration with reconciliation reports, not a one-way import
- Authentication, rate limiting, audit logging and versioning policy
How it runs
01 · Technical discovery
A paid or complimentary discovery session, depending on scope. We document the current systems, the constraints and the success criteria in writing before quoting anything.
02 · Architecture & scope
Target architecture, data model, integration contracts and a phase plan. You receive the document whether or not you continue with us.
03 · Implementation
Two-week iterations against the agreed backlog, with a demonstrable increment and a written progress report at the end of each one.
04 · Hardening & handover
Load and security testing, runbook, backup verification, knowledge transfer, and transfer of repositories and infrastructure accounts to the client.
