Cookie Policy
Every cookie and browser-storage key zero21ou.com uses — which is one, and it is not a cookie. Last updated 11 August 2026.
1. This site sets no cookies
zero21ou.com sets no HTTP cookies of its own and loads no third-party service that could set one. There is no analytics platform, no advertising pixel, no tag manager, no embedded video, no map, no chat widget and no remotely hosted font. Fonts and scripts are served from this domain, so reading this site produces no request to any other party.
You can verify that in your browser’s developer tools: the Application tab will show an empty cookie jar, and the Network tab will show requests to zero21ou.com only.
2. The one thing we store locally
| Key | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
z21-notice | localStorage (not a cookie — never sent to our server) | Records that you closed the privacy notice, so it does not reappear on every page you visit | Until you clear your browser storage |
This key is strictly necessary for a function you explicitly requested — dismissing the notice — so no consent is required for it under the ePrivacy Directive as implemented in the Estonian Electronic Communications Act. It contains the single value dismissed. It carries no identifier and is never transmitted anywhere.
3. Why there is no cookie banner
A consent dialog is required where a site stores or reads information that is not strictly necessary. We store one strictly necessary key and nothing else, so there is nothing to consent to. Showing a dialog asking permission for cookies that do not exist would misrepresent what this site does, so we show a short factual notice instead — dismissible, and it never blocks the content behind it.
4. Server logs
Our web server records requests (IP address, timestamp, URL, user agent, response status) for security and fault diagnosis. This is server-side logging, not browser storage, and it is described in section 2 of the Privacy Policy. Logs are deleted after 14 days.
5. If this changes
Adding any cookie or third-party service would require this page to be updated first, and a genuine consent mechanism where the law requires one. If you find a request from this site to a third party that is not documented here, tell us at admin@zero21ou.com — that would be a bug, and we would want to fix it.
