How we work

Four phases, every engagement

Phase 01

Technical discovery

A paid or complimentary discovery session, depending on scope. We document the current systems, the constraints and the success criteria in writing before quoting anything.

Phase 02

Architecture & scope

Target architecture, data model, integration contracts and a phase plan. You receive the document whether or not you continue with us.

Phase 03

Implementation

Two-week iterations against the agreed backlog, with a demonstrable increment and a written progress report at the end of each one.

Phase 04

Hardening & handover

Load and security testing, runbook, backup verification, knowledge transfer, and transfer of repositories and infrastructure accounts to the client.

The questions procurement asks us first.

Who owns the source code and the intellectual property?: You do. Ownership of everything produced under a statement of work transfers to the client on final payment for that milestone, including repositories, schemas, infrastructure definitions and documentation. We keep no licence-back and no runtime dependency on us.
How is a project priced?: After a technical discovery session and a written scope. We do not publish day rates or fixed package prices, because a figure quoted before the architecture is understood is a figure that gets revised. Every quote is itemised by phase and valid for 30 days.
Is 021 OÜ VAT registered in the EU?: Yes. 021 OÜ is an Estonian osaühing registered on 05.10.2009 under registry code 11728851, with EU VAT number EE101488194. Business customers registered for VAT in another EU member state are invoiced under the reverse-charge mechanism.
Where does the team work from, and in which time zone?: The contracting entity is registered in Tallinn, Estonia (EET / EEST, UTC+2 / UTC+3). Engagements are delivered remotely with a working-hours overlap agreed in the statement of work; on-site workshops are arranged where a project needs them.
What happens to our data during an engagement?: Access is limited to the engineers named in the statement of work. Where we process personal data on your behalf we sign a GDPR Article 28 data processing agreement first, production data is not copied to developer machines, and test environments use anonymised data. Can you take over a project another supplier started?: Yes, and it is a large part of what we do. It begins with a code and infrastructure audit delivered as a written report: what is sound, what is at risk, what has to be replaced, and what it takes to get a reliable release out. The report is yours regardless of what you decide next.
